A Look Back

 Safeway Wichita Employees Federal Credit Union was chartered in 1951 to serve the employees and familiesof Safeway Grocery Stores in the Wichita and surrounding communities. In 1987, Safeway sold and the credit union changed its name to First Choice Federal Credit Union and expanded their membership to include multiple employee groups in the Wichita area.

Growing and Getting Stronger

The Credit Union continued to grow and prosper and in 1997, another name change was made to allow for the expansion of membership to a 3 county area. First Choice Credit Union is now open to anyone living in,working in or worshipping in Sedgwick, Harvey, or Butler counties. Thanks to our members and their loyal support, the Credit Union has thrived on a foundation of trust and stability, continually providing new services while maintaining strong financial reserves to assure success in the future.
